A well ordered family response post

In this story sort of summary I learned that life in the colonies seemed very hard for everyone. Women had it very bad because in the story it tells " obey you husband, he is above you." I personally do not like that and think that all are equal men, women, black, white, and all other races. I don't believe that women should be above men either though. reading about how the men treated the women was probably the most surprising out of all of the things I read. Today instead of Africans being slaves they are considered fair and have all the same rights. Back then Africans were not allowed to learn how to read and write and they were not able to have any rights or freedom, like black people today.

Ok. The reading was an essay, not a story. I agree that women and men should be treated equally. Needed more of a reflection from what you learned about life back then in your post. Your last two sentences don't even address the reading.

Please make additions to this post to earn more points. Too short and needs more detail. As is 18/30 points.
